FragMance ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: Your email address when you create an account.
Profile information: Username and display name you choose to set.
Fragrance data: Fragrances you add to your wardrobe, Scent of the Day logs, and performance notes you record.
Profile photo: If you choose to upload a profile picture from your photo library.
Camera: Used only to scan perfume barcodes. Images are not stored or transmitted.
Usage data: Anonymous analytics events (e.g. which screens are visited) via PostHog to help us improve the app.
Crash reports: Anonymous diagnostic data via Sentry if the app crashes, to help us fix bugs.
Push notifications: A device token if you grant notification permission, used solely to send you reminders you configure.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the FragMance service.
To save and sync your fragrance wardrobe across devices.
To send push notifications you have opted into.
To improve app performance and fix bugs using anonymous crash reports.
To understand how features are used so we can build better ones.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

Supabase — secure database and authentication (supabase.com)
Sentry — crash reporting (sentry.io)
PostHog — anonymous product analytics (posthog.com)
Expo / EAS — app delivery and over-the-air updates (expo.dev)

4. Data Retention

Your account and fragrance data are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes all associated data.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Export your fragrance data.

6. Children's Privacy

FragMance is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit and store passwords using secure hashing. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with access controls.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via a notice in the app or by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
