Tap the Scan button on the home screen (the barcode icon in the centre of the tab bar). Point your camera at the barcode on any fragrance bottle. FragMance runs a 4-stage pipeline — barcode match, open database lookup, image recognition, and fuzzy text search — and returns a result in under two seconds. No barcode? Try scanning the front label; the text recognition fallback handles it.

You can delete your account directly inside the app at any time:

1. Open the Profile tab.
2. Tap the Settings icon (top-right corner).
3. Scroll to the very bottom of the Settings screen.
4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deleting your account is permanent and immediately removes all your data — wardrobe entries, Scent of the Day logs, profile information, and social posts — from our servers.

If a scan returns no result, try these steps:

1. Ensure good lighting — move to a brighter area or enable your torch.
2. Hold steady and let autofocus lock before the shutter fires.
3. Try the front label if the barcode is worn or curved.
4. Search manually — tap the search icon and type the fragrance name or brand directly.

If the fragrance genuinely isn't in our database, please email us at hello@fragmance.app with the name, brand, and a photo of the bottle and we'll add it promptly.

Logging your Scent of the Day takes three taps:

1. From the Home tab, tap Log today's scent at the top of the feed, or tap the shield icon in the tab bar.
2. Pick a fragrance from your wardrobe (or search for one).
3. Optionally add an occasion tag and notes, then tap Log it.

Your log is saved with today's date, your current weather, and contributes to your daily streak. You can edit or delete a log by long-pressing it on your profile.

After scanning or searching for a fragrance, open its detail page and tap Add to wardrobe. Choose a status: Own, Want, Sampled, or Had. The fragrance is instantly added to your collection and visible on your profile. You can change the status or remove it at any time by opening the fragrance from your wardrobe and tapping the status badge.
